Night 40 — Practice Exam 2 + keyword post-mortem
~2.5 hr blocks. External 65-question timed mock (~130 min) + short post-mortem. Target ≥75%. Week 6 ends here.
Before you start (10 min)
Write this on scratch paper:
1. Cross out company story
2. Underline force words
3. Predict service before options
4. Kill near-misses (right family / missing toggle / wrong interface)
Skim Night 35 method card once. Do not re-read all of Nights 36–39 unless panic — trust the maps.
Block 1 (~130 min) — Timed mock
Use the same provider as Night 34 (Tutorials Dojo / course mock). Exam conditions:
- Timer on
- No docs
- Mark unsure for review only if time remains
Block 2 (~20–40 min) — Keyword post-mortem (required)
For every wrong answer, fill one row:
| # | Force words I missed | Distractor type (1–5) | Correct service |
|---|---|---|---|
Distractor types (Night 35):
- Right family, wrong product
- Missing the toggle
- Solves a different requirement
- Too much operational work / too much change
- Fake AWS default magic
Pass criteria for booking the real exam
| Score | Action |
|---|---|
| ≥75% | Schedule within 1–2 weeks; light review of post-mortem rows only |
| 65–74% | Re-drill weak force-word family (one Night 36–39 map); one more mini-set |
| <65% | Re-do Night 35 method on 20 fresh stems before another full mock |
Block 3 — Optional teardown
If pausing labs: tear down leftover study NAT gateway / Aurora / ElastiCache per earlier night scripts. Don’t tear down production study-stack resources.
Portfolio note
Week 6 was exam literacy: you already build systems (Weeks 1–5). Pass rates move when force-word decoding becomes automatic — that is what Night 35–39 trained.
